A new way of thinking about speech

We were bored with the options available for those who needed help with their speech so we decided to make one that you actually want to use.

Utilising his fathers own personal experience with Parkinson's William used his intimate knowledge of these every day challenges to create a new way of thinking about pacing boards and how they can be used seamlessly with daily life to help aid with speech.

So why pace?

Textured Approach

We had to radically re think the format of the pacing board. During user testing the same stories came up time and again. I don't know where I am on the board and when I look down the flow of conversation is completely interupted. PACE redefines the points as textured dimples on the surface to allow for more coherent movement between break points and to allow the user to focus less on the board and more on the connections they are building.

No more paper!

One of the huge issues our founders noticed when developing the product was how in accessible the basic pacing board is for daily life, we wanted to create something that fit with products people already use.

What even is a pacing board?

A pacing board is classically a visual aid which helps people with speech impediments better segment their words by slowing sentences down, breaking down words and helping them better pronounciate for clearer communication. The issue? Well there a multiple and that's why Phillip and William Bungay created a product that can actually be used in day to day life.
